17 Batman Street, Braddon.
As Glenda says, hard to reproduce from the right viewpoint without invading the neighbours. This is taken from the nature strip in front of 36 Doonkuna Street. The lintel of 32 is just visible through the trees.
I haven't got the slope of Mt. Ainslie in the background quite right in the rephotograph. I should have zoomed in more. The cedar in the foreground had grown up nicely.
These houses are 62 and 62 Currong Street North, Braddon. Only part of the roof of 62 is visible in the rephotograph.
I had a chat with a friendly young chap who lived in the house. He said the fire places had been bricked over. Pity.
Ainslie Arts Centre, Elouera Street Braddon, taken at about 2pm while standing in the street during a gap in the traffic. Not a recommended technique.
Ainslie Arts Centre, Elouera Street, Braddon. Taken from across Elouera Street at about 2pm.
Black and white picture of the demolition of this library building taken by me in the late 1960s or possibly very early in the 1970s
Times Square replaces the Canberra Times building, and the garage is now a Mobil service station
54 Limestone Ave, Ainslie
Once described as 'monstrosoties', these are lovely homes!
Original building is gone...
Current building on the corner of Kennedy and Eyre St, Kingston
Who knows which part of Giles St this really is...but this was the only part I could find that still had the correct roof fronts. From Google Maps.
Still a lovely hotel
Hotel Acton is now part of the Diamante Hotel. The view out the window has changed slightly!!! From Google Maps
How interesting to see the bare bones of the gardens laid out, then coming to fruition. From Google Earth

The Molonglo is now part of the lake. From Google Earth

Google Earth image of more or less the same location.
This isn't exactly a rephotograph, it's taken from Google Earth, but reproducing aerial shots is going to be a tricky business! It at least shows the same location today - and settles the dispute about which direction the original photo faces.
The rather extensive hedge means that they couldn't do this today!
