This is possibly the Canberra Australian rules schoolboys team which visited Melbourne in August 1929. The photo includes 21 players (suggesting an Australian rules side) and the adult at the right is J.A. Filshie, Telopea Park School headmaster, who accompanied the 1929 team on the Melbourne trip. The team in the photo does not appear to be a Telopea Park football team, which wore black and yellow jumpers. While it is not known for sure which jumpers the 1929 Canberra side wore, plausibly they wore red and blue St Christpher's School jumpers, which would seem to match the photo. A trial match was played to select the Canberra team for the trip, in which the teams wore Telopea and St Christopher's jumpers.
