Comparison with recent photos suggests this is Acton sportsground, with Black Mountain in the background. Acton sportsground now lies beneath Lake Burley Griffin, just north-east of Springbank Island.

This looks like the same match as 1680, and the jumpers are hard to make out - possibly it's a 1926 match between Federals (black with red sash) and Queanbeyan, who wore light and dark blue colours that year.
