Adele and Althea both attended St Gabriel's School from 1926 which became the Canberra Church of England Girls' Grammar School in 1933.

The second little girl is definitely Ruth Brackenreg. These three little girls grew up together , living in houses built in Acton - Adele, Thea and Ruth. Ruth's father was James Brackenreg, who with his wife, arrived in Canberra in March 1913.
