The block of tents on the right of Northbourne Avenue was the camp in which HLB Lasseter lived during his working years in Canberra before he returned to Sydney and then NT in search of his gold reef. He was joined by his wife and children in 1927 - the family moved to Russell Hill Settlement (site above Campbell Shops).
