This is the Air Navigation Experimental Company (ANEC) III aircraft "Diamond Bird". The photograph, presumably taken from a companion ANEC III aircraft "Love Bird", may have occurred during a visit to Canberra by both aircraft in May 1930 at the beginning of aerial survey work in central Australia.
